Whether you are an engineer designing shock-absorbing industrial pads, a footwear manufacturer sourcing midsoles, or a packaging firm needing custom cut inserts, your production line requires consistent, high-quality material.
At Damao Tech, we manufacture wholesale EVA foam sheets in a massive variety of densities, hardness levels, and dimensions. This technical guide breaks down how to specify the exact parameters for your wholesale foam sheet order to ensure zero waste and perfect performance.
1. EVA Foam Sheet Density Grades
Density is the absolute mass of the foam, determining its long-term durability and weight-bearing capacity. We manufacture EVA foam sheets across a density range of 33 kg/m³ to 280 kg/m³.
- Low-Density Sheets (33–60 kg/m³): Best for lightweight packaging, yoga blocks, and soft protective padding.
- Standard-Density Sheets (60–150 kg/m³): The industry standard for tool case inserts, orthotics, and athletic mats.
- Ultra-High-Density Sheets (150–280 kg/m³): Highly resistant to compression set. These sheets hold perfectly clean, sharp edges during CNC routing and laser cutting. Ideal for marine decking, heavy-duty gaskets, and load-bearing industrial spacers.

2. Sheet Firmness (Hardness Options)
While density measures mass, hardness (measured via the Shore A or Shore C scale) measures surface resistance—how the sheet feels when pressed.
- Soft (15–25 Shore C): Gel-like feel for medical padding and premium insoles.
- Medium (38–45 Shore C): The “sweet spot” for 80% of applications, including packaging and general cushioning.
- Rigid (60+ Shore C): Hard, structural foam used for outsoles, automotive bumpers, and heavy tool trays.
Note: We can custom-compound the raw polymer to hit exact hardness targets independently of density.
3. Thickness, Sizes, and Formats
We supply EVA foam exactly how your fabrication line needs it, minimizing your scrap rate:
- Thickness: Sheets can be skived (sliced) from master bun blocks to any thickness ranging from 1 mm up to 50 mm (and thicker upon request).
- Standard Dimensions: Typical master sheet sizes include 1m × 2m or 1.2m × 2.4m, but custom dimensional cuts are available.
- Continuous Rolls: For high-volume die-cutting, we provide EVA foam in continuous rolls rather than flat sheets.
- PSA Backing: Need peel-and-stick application? We supply sheets pre-laminated with Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA) like 3M tapes.
4. Dimensional Tolerances
When ordering wholesale sheets, dimensional tolerance is a critical B2B specification. Due to the natural expansion and contraction of cellular rubber, standard industry tolerances apply:
- Thickness Tolerance: Typically ± 0.5 mm to ± 1.0 mm depending on the nominal thickness.
- Length/Width Tolerance: Typically ± 1% to 2% on large master sheets.
If you require tighter tolerances for precision CNC machining, notify our engineering team so we can utilize slow-cure processes and precision skiving blades.
5. Surface Finishes and Textures
Standard EVA sheets come with a smooth, factory-skived surface. However, we can apply various textures during the molding or post-processing phase:
- Embossed Textures: Crosshatch, diamond, or leaf patterns for anti-slip traction (ideal for marine decking and gym mats).
- Brushed Finish: A soft, matte finish that feels premium to the touch.
- Laminated Surfaces: Combining a high-density, rigid top layer with a softer bottom layer for dual-density performance.
How to Request a Wholesale Quote
To receive an accurate B2B quote for EVA foam sheets, please provide the following details in your RFQ:
- Dimensions: Length × Width × Thickness (and required tolerances).
- Density: In kg/m³ or lb/ft³ (PCF).
- Hardness: In Shore C or Shore A.
- Color: Standard black/white or custom Pantone matches.
- Format: Flat sheets, rolls, or adhesive-backed.
- Quantity: Minimum order quantities (MOQs) apply for custom colors/formulations.
